Ökukennarinn helps you obtain your driving license in a simple and enjoyable way. My goal is to make you a safe and responsible driver who enjoys driving.

Basic Course
Learn everything you need to know to drive safely and confidently. Ökukennarinn offers beginner driving instruction covering all the essential aspects of operating a vehicle, ensuring you're well-prepared to obtain your category B license (initial license).
Ökukennarinn provides driving instruction in the Reykjavik capital area.
The average student requires about 16 to 20 driving lessons, with the cost typically ranging from 220,000 to 280,000 ISK., excluding extra cost like the "ökuskólar" one through three, the written and practical test and your final driving license.
Advanced Training
For those looking to improve their driving skills or gain more experience, such as driving in the Reykjavík area or under challenging conditions. This also includes individuals who haven't driven in a while and want to safely refresh their skills.
Driving Assessment
Ökukennarinn offers driving assessments for the Final Class B license. The assessment lasts about 50 minutes, and you can use either your own car or the instructor's. Please note that while you cannot fail the assessment, the instructor may choose not to sign off if safety and skill standards are not met, though this is very rare. The cost is 16,000 ISK.
